Yes, I do have a face!I figured it was about time to make a real bio post. So, here is a bit more about me. I am a Christian and I love my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I am striving to be a Proverbs 31 woman! I am happily married to my best friend who is a wonderful man who seeks the Lord with all his heart.
I am the homeschooling mama of five little ones; one girl and four boys. Our sole princess is 7 years old. All of our boys came in sets of two! My oldest set of twins is 6 years old and the youngest set is 3 years old.
I love spending time together as a family (all seven of us). The kiddos always keep us laughing! Prior to having children I was a high school math teacher. I have my BA in Mathematics and a Masters degree in Education. Prior to that, I played college basketball, though I now find it hard to believe! (I am tall...6'2")
In my "spare" time I enjoy scrapbooking, though blogging seems to be taking its place. I currently have five main blogs. This (Mama Jenn) is my family/homeschool/craft/everything blog. Education Cubes features customizable learning blocks. The Homeschool Resource List is a collection of all the free online resources that I have found for homeschoolers. The "Brown Like Me" Book Review is a collection of books featuring "brown" characters. The Living Math Book List is a collection of living math books dividing up by math topics..
I used to be what you would call a perfectionist, though, having kids...many kids...has changed all that! I sometimes find myself longing for the days of complete organization and order. But, when I take a look at all those little faces, I can help but thank God for the chaos and disorder...though I am still trying to regain some sense of organization...stay tuned! {smile}
Well, that is me...a little more in depth!

Love seeing your lovely picture and reading more about you Jenn!

Hi Mama Jenn! This is my 1st time visiting. You have a very nice blog. And thanks for sharing that picture of yours. Now we all know you have beautiful skin and skin color. Its funny because my oldest son (8yo)says that his dad's skin color is brown. We are from Puerto Rico and here you find all different skin tones. But now that I look at you my dh isn't brown, you are. He's more like golden brown or redish brown, if this is a color. Anyway, Love your site. I'll be borrowing your Color Wheel printable. It's awesome!

LOVED finally putting a face to a name Jenn. Great picture and About me post. I'm still so envious you have two sets of twins! I love being a twin mom.
ReplyDeleteHi there! Thanks for visiting my blog! I have visited yours a ton and used some of your printables! You amaze me at what you do and have been quite an encouragement to me. God bless your school year!
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled upon your blog. I will be back to peruse it more in depth. I did a singleton, twins and another singleton. I also just have one girl but she is my youngest at 12 now. I love the idea of the fraction cups! Wow! Wish I had had that resource years ago. But we have made it. My oldest will graduate from homeschooling sometime this coming year. I have to become more computer savvy and make a new gmail account or a blog because I was an Abigail married to a Nabor who left this fall and took a lot of my passwords so I don't mean to sign anyomously. Thanks! Thanks for your blog!

ReplyDeleteI've been online researching, searching, pricing... these "Thumb guards" for a little girl of 5yrs, this product is very expensive. Of the two (only two!) I've found one is the "TGuard Brand ThumbGuard" $75 and the other "Dr.Thumb a child guard thumb" $50 and shipped from Korea. I'd like to find someone willing to sell their no longer needed thumb guard to me... Please! Carla
ReplyDeleteSorry, I no longer have our Thumb/Finger guards. However, I did come up with another solution...if you are interested: http://mama-jenn.blogspot.com/2010/05/no-more-thumb-suckers.html
